Insurance broker expands as it targets £1m of new business

A BLACK Country insurance broker is targeting expansion in a bid to increase its client base and trigger growth of £1m.

Bosses at Halesowen-based Johnston, Park, McAndrew have taken on two new staff members with a view to creating a dedicated team serving the local SME sector.

The firm, based at Trinity Point in New Road, said the restructure would also free up brokers to provide a more specific service for larger clients.

The eventual aim is to grow the company’s client base by 100 over the next 12 months and generate £1m worth of new business.

David Johnston, managing director, said: “We want to give a premier service to all of our clients but some have very different needs to others. The restructure is about bringing in new, experienced staff to focus on SME clients, while growing other areas of the business.

“We’re very much looking forward to bringing in some new faces to the company and hope our clients will reap the benefits of that investment.”
