Test Match cricket returns to Birmingham this weekend as England take on Pakistan in an Investec Test. The event, which will of course be based at Edgbaston Stadium, one of England’s most successful cricket grounds, is set to have an incredible atmosphere, especially with locals Alastair Cook and James Anderson taking on the Pakistan team. Expect the unexpected at Dudley Castle this Saturday night as the venue, for the first time ever, will be transformed into an open-air cinema for a chilling evening of horror classic The Bride of Frankenstein! The evening at Dudley Castle, where many ghost sightings have been reported over the years, will feature spooky sounds, projections and a range of hot food and a licenced bar. Sandwell ValleyGet walking
Head to Sandwell Valley Nature Reserve on Saturday to enjoy a guided tour with the family. The guided tour, which will be around two hours long, will point out all the different signs of wildlife, colours and nature each season brings whilst giving you a chance to explore the local area and learn what you can expect from the valley nature wise across the year. Jamaican FestivalJamaica comes to Brum!
The Jamaican Independence Day celebration returns for another year to Handsworth Park in Birmingham on Saturday! The event, which starts at 11am, will be a bright, colourful and super fun celebration for local people.
