5 things to do in the West Midlands this weekend

Battle Proms
Ragley Hall will play host to the final night of the UK’s premier picnic concert series with the Battle Proms returning to Alcester for another year this weekend. The evening of fun begins at 4pm and there will be everything from traditional fairground stalls, cavalry displays, entertainment and live music by The Rockabellas and the New English Concert Orchestra, as well as a whole range of other things for the whole family to enjoy. Head to Lag 11 Complex in Digbeth on Saturday for an afternoon of pure summer bliss. Severn ValleySteam on the Road
The Severn Valley Railway will be showcasing the very best of steam on the road and on the rails this weekend. Head along and see everything from steamrollers, tractions engines and steam wagons to steam trains running on the railway and step back in time with other steam enthusiasts. Kidderminster Station will also be holding a mini beer festival over the weekend too, where you will be able to sample over 15 traditional beers and ciders whilst taking in the great atmosphere! Head to Soho House in Birmingham this Saturday for a cool and cultured Indian night! The Travelling Cinema will be bringing award winning movie Slumdog Millionaire to the venue for a special outdoor showing.
