Wealth management firm is Jewellery Quarter’s latest gem

A WEALTH management firm is targeting a record year after relocating to new offices in the heart of Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter.

Margetts Wealth Management has moved into a 2,100 sq ft office in St Paul’s Square as part of an expansion drive that will see it hit in excess of £1m fees under management by the end of 2016.

The firm has enjoyed 20% year-on-year growth since 2014 and now looks after more than 150 clients – 80% of which are based in the West Midlands, including business owners, professional footballers, a racing driver, doctors and a string of popular restaurants.

Kevin Smith, managing director, said: “This is a great move for our business and gives us double the space we had previously, dedicated meeting rooms and access to state-of-the-art IT infrastructure.

“More importantly, the location places us at the heart of our client base and gives us easy access to accountants, lawyers and other professional service organisations who trust us to look after the financial affairs of their clients.”

The firm employs four experienced independent financial advisors at its St Paul’s office, backed by up significant administrative support.

Margetts Wealth Management recorded £950,000 in client fees last year and expects to take that past £1m in 2016. This will involve the recruitment of an additional three people to work at the new office.
