Millennials are changing your business – are you ready?

Millennials have grown up sharing their lives on social media, had at least half of their careers so far under austerity and tend to value experiences over possessions as well as placing their enjoyment of work above their wage.
The Millennial generation, which is the largest generation in history, are making their mark on the workplace. If you are employing staff born between 1980-2000, knowing how they think and operate will benefit your business.
TheBusinessDesk.com, in partnership with Birmingham City University and Birmingham Metropolitan College, is holding a breakfast seminar to explore how this group of young people is changing the way businesses must think and act to get the most out of them.

– Julian Beer, deputy vice chancellor of Birmingham City University
– Andrew Cleaves, chief executive of Birmingham Metropolitan College
– Jodie Cook, BYPY winner and JC Social Media
– Jennifer Appleton, operations director for ISO Quality Services and Worcestershire Apprenticeship Ambassador
Our expert panel will examine the impact Millennials are having in the workplace, including how businesses need to change their recruitment and retention strategies, to understand their approach to others and are likely to portray your business as well as topics such as loyalty and ambition.
The panel will also explore how companies need to accommodate millennials as consumers to adapt to their demands.

Development needs will also be considered, for example, the role of higher-level apprenticeships in developing the skills required and desire “to do something different” as they climb the career ladder.
Don’t get left behind, Millennials move quick and have already started changing your business and work environment.
