Business Briefs: Diamond Facilities Support; Technology Management; XPO IT Services

A WEST Midlands facilities support firm has received double recognition for its continued growth following a record year of turnover and contract wins.
Coleshill-based Diamond Facilities Support is on track to achieve turnover above £8m by the end of this year, which equates to 45% growth compared to 2015.
The firm has been awarded Best Facilities Management Company in the Midlands at the 2016 Facilities Management Awards.
It has also made the top 50 shortlist in Tomorrow’s Facilities Management Awards, which comes after the firm was named as one of the top 50 fastest growing facilities management companies in the UK.
Key contract wins this year include agreements with Swinton Insurance, TGI Fridays, Orchard Care Homes, Sharps and Loungers, joining other big names already on its books such as Pure Gym, The Range and Atkins Global.
“Our reputation and client base is growing in equal measure, so we’re delighted to receive this industry wide recognition,” said Adam Atkins, joint managing director.
The company is now looking at growing the business in new areas.

Telford-based XPO IT Services has expanded after launching a new service.
The company, which provides data destruction and IT recycling, has launched XPO IT Moves, a new division that will concentrate on IT hardware relocation and IT storage services.
The launch of the new service has seen two former apprentices promoted to full time roles within the firm.
Also joining the team are two Keele University graduates, Liam Brookfield (22) and Rebecca Bennett (22), both from Stoke-on-Trent, who have become head of sales and marketing, and media and communications marketing executive respectively. Both joined the firm as interns.
Heading up the new section is Mark Cotterell, who has been with the company for three years as business development manager.
He said: “This new department is a reaction to demand from existing customers and follows investment in special training for site engineers. These are exciting times as the reward for major investment in state-of-the-art shredding machinery allows us to deliver an extremely secure service and this new IT relocation department will help us as we continue to grow the business.”
