SDL Bigwood celebrates second silver awards success

SDL Bigwood, part of the fourth largest auction house in the UK, which holds regular auctions in Birmingham and Coventry took home a second silver award of the year in The Sunday Times Estate Agency of the Year Awards.

Lining up against national competitors, SDL Auctions was presented with the silver award in the Auction Agency of the Year category, a trophy which will now line up alongside other awards in the same category over the past three years.

This latest result follows a silver award in the Auction House of the Year category at the 2016 Negotiator Awards.

SDL Bigwood chief executive officer Rory Daly said: “The whole team is thrilled to have been presented with this award and recognised – by our industry peers – as one of the leading auctioneers in the UK.

“To have been one of three finalists in the category is a great such an achievement and is a great way to start rounding off what’s been an excellent year for SDL Bigwood.”

SDL Bigwood’s auction team was presented with the award at the London Park Lane Hilton hosted by singer Martin Kemp. The awards identify, reward and celebrate industry excellence and promote best practice within Estate Agency.

SDL Bigwood is part of SDL Auctions which includes SDL Graham Penny in the East Midlands, and the recent addition of a new auction centre covering Cheshire and North Wales, headed up by well-known auctioneer Edward Feather. SDL Auctions is the fourth largest auction network in the UK and the biggest outside of London.

Rory Daly added: “Our team works incredibly hard all year round to provide an excellent service to our customers and this is a fitting reward for all their efforts throughout the year.”
