UK’s first care hotel sold in new deal

A SPECIALIST care facility in Stoke-on-Trent – once dubbed the UK’s first care hotel – has been sold in an undisclosed deal.

The Cambrian, situated in Bucknall, is a purpose-built 16-bedroom facility originally completed in 2013. It was designed to provide quality hotel-standard accommodation for a range of disabled service users.

The building includes a central courtyard, on-site parking and an enclosed landscaped garden.

CBRE’s Specialist Markets team completed the sale of the building to an undisclosed buyer.

Shaun Skidmore, senior director of specialist markets at CBRE Manchester, said: “We are pleased to confirm the sale of The Cambrian, a contemporary property offering high quality accommodation in a desirable area of Staffordshire.

“The facility represents a great opportunity for the purchaser to acquire a purpose built care facility which has been developed to a high standard.”
