Variety the spice of life for new brewery

INDIAN Brewery, the latest addition to the Jewellery Quarter, is spicing up
Birmingham’s food and drink scene bringing a combination of street food, artisan coffee and locally-brewed craft beer to Snow Hill.
The Indian Brewery company – which supplies Birmingham lager, Indian Summer, Bombay Honey, Peacock and IPA to Birmingham venues, including Harvey Nichols – has resurrected Brewsmiths under Snow Hill’s railway arches, giving the old coffee shop a new lease of life.
Owner of the company and the brewery, Jaspal Purewal said: “We’ve wanted to set up a bar for our brewery for a long time and the Jewellery Quarter is the perfect location.
“There is so many exciting things happening here. This will be our flagship store – for all to consume our beers along with in- house artisan coffee and street food.”
The bar is open all-day as a social gathering space and serves breakfast with an Indian twist up until midday. As well as bacon, sausage or egg naan on the breakfast menu, diners can enjoy pakora pops, Indian fish and chips and Chaat bombs as part of the street food menu available from midday until late.
The beer is served in craft cans, bottle cask and on draught and includes Indian Brewery’s own beers, which are brewed at their base in Great Barr as well as a range of guest beverages.
