Businesswomen join LoveBrum trustee board

LoveBrum has appointed two trustees as it continued to increase its business support in the city.
Millennium Point chief executive Judith Armstrong and Rebecca Simkiss, joint managing director of SimkissGuy Recruitment, have joined the board of trustees of the Birmingham charity.
Armstrong, who has become deputy chairperson trustee, said: “I’m thrilled to have become an official trustee for LoveBrum – a charity whose work I’ve admired for a while now. Supporting projects and organizations, and creating opportunities through collaborative working – whether that’s through the local community, business sector, the learning community or young people and families – are the ways in which Millennium Point Trust carries out its work.”
Last year LoveBrum donated £24,000 to local charities and organisations through 12 monthly awards, which are selected by a members’ vote.
It has also partnered with businesses and charity organisations to help promote awareness, provide material donations and volunteering.
Simkiss, who will support the membership function, added: “The charity is so unique and I am incredibly passionate about the work LoveBrum delivers, supporting hidden gem projects across the region. We have a brilliant base of members already in place and have created amazing momentum so far, and I am looking to expand this significantly over the coming year.”
