Picture Gallery: Paradise Birmingham

New images have been released charting the latest progress on the Birmingham Paradise development.

Started 18 months ago, the images show how the ambitious scheme is starting to take shape.

With the basement level of One Chamberlain Square – set to be the new home of PwC in the city – now complete and the podium clearly visible, the frontages and terraces of what will eventually become retail units can also be seen.

The visuals also show the piling for the foundations to Two Chamberlain Square, now almost complete ahead of construction of the main building. The speculative building has been designed by Birmingham’s Glenn Howells Architects and the construction programme is due to start later in the summer with to completion in early 2019.

Phase two of the demolition scheme is scheduled to begin in the autumn.

The Paradise redevelopment is being brought forward through Paradise Circus Ltd Partnership (PCLP), a private-public joint venture with Birmingham City Council. Argent is the development manager.
