Gurpreet Bassi

Gurpreet’s first experience of working in property was when undertook viewings for the original Bond Wolfe Auctions when he was just 17. Following Bond Wolfe’s acquisition of Bigwood, he became a trainee in the residential lettings and auctions aged 20, becoming a full-time lettings and auction negotiator a year later and then an auction valuer in 2011.  Gurpreet developed his client base to include investors, agents, councils, banks, receivers, NHS Trusts and housing associations, and he was responsible for the highest value residential sale ever recorded in a Midlands’ auction (£2.665m).

Gurpreet was promoted to Associate Partner in January 2015 and elevated to full partner status in May 2015, and led the Birmingham auction team to break the Midlands’ sales records for 3 years in a row.

Gurpreet has been nominated and shortlisted for numerous awards (Negotiator/BYPY/Sunday Times Estate Agency) and won the ‘Young Leader of the Year’ award at the Business Desk Leadership Awards in 2019,  ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ at the Signature Awards in 2020 and ‘Young Professional of the Year’ at Signature Awards in 2018. He has also made regular appearances on the BBC’s “Homes Under The Hammer”. Outside of work most of Gurpreet’s time is occupied by his son – who keeps him very busy! He also enjoys spending time with his wife, family and friends, and enjoys going to the gym and on holidays. Gurpreet is a keen sports fan, football and boxing in particular, and is a big supporter of Liverpool FC. He has undertaken a number of charity events, one of the most successful being his challenge to visit “20 Premier league Stadiums in 24 Hours” for Cancer Research, which he undertook with a few close friends, raising over £25,000.
