{"id":2032293,"date":"2019-07-26T13:43:51","date_gmt":"2019-07-26T12:43:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thebusinessdesk.com\/westmidlands\/?p=2032293"},"modified":"2019-07-26T13:43:51","modified_gmt":"2019-07-26T12:43:51","slug":"developer-opens-new-warwickshire-headquarters","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thebusinessdesk.com\/westmidlands\/news\/2032293-developer-opens-new-warwickshire-headquarters","title":{"rendered":"Developer opens new Warwickshire headquarters"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Warwickshire-based developers and property owners The Wigley Group have extensively refurbished a former country house in Stockton, Southam to become its operational base.<\/p>\n<p>Stockton House is just ten miles away from where the company was founded in Barby, near Rugby, in 1964.<\/p>\n<p>The group said the new headquarters, which has undergone a two-year transformation, forms part of the company\u2019s expansion over the next five decades.<\/p>\n<p>Robert Wigley, chairman of The Wigley Group, said: \u201cThe Wigley Group has significantly evolved from its beginnings as a construction plant hire and road building contractor to its present incarnation as a leading property, development and construction company in the Midlands.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe group has doubled in size over the last three years, bought the substantial period property situated within five acres off Rugby Road to accommodate future growth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The company has returned the house to its former glory, retaining as many features as possible whilst transforming it into office space for the 21<sup>st<\/sup> century, and keeping the original name of Stockton House.<\/p>\n<p>The main house comprises offices on the first floor and a range of meeting rooms on the ground floor. An adjoining stable block has been converted into offices for The Wigley Group\u2019s construction arm, Wigley Building and Development.<\/p>\n<p>The grounds have been landscaped, with new car parking and access improvements.<\/p>\n<p>Lt Col Liam Cradden MBE, from the Parachute Regiment, and a trustee of the Parachute Regiment charity Support Our Paras, was invited to officially open the headquarters on the eve of The Wigley Group\u2019s golf day and gala dinner.<\/p>\n<p>The annual event has raised close to \u00a3100,000 for Support Our Paras over the last six
