Origin has commenced construction on the second phase of its \u00a3126m SPARK development in Walsall.<\/p>\n
This stage has a GDV of \u00a325m and will deliver an additional 101,000 sq ft of industrial and logistics space across three new units.<\/p>\n
The SPARK scheme, one of the Black Country\u2019s largest recent regeneration projects, is transforming a 44-acre brownfield site into a modern employment hub designed to attract inward investment and support up to 1,100 new jobs.<\/p>\n
The first phase of the development is now complete, comprising two units of 18,000 sq ft and 250,000 sq ft ready for occupation.<\/p>\n
Bowmer + Kirkland has begun work on phase two, which will deliver three further units, bringing the ambitious regeneration project closer to completion.<\/p>\n
Once fully built, SPARK will offer 370,000 sq ft of net zero-capable manufacturing and logistics space.<\/p>\n
All five buildings will meet BREEAM Excellent standards and achieve EPC A ratings, supporting occupiers in meeting ESG objectives and future-proofing operations. Construction on the second phase is expected to complete by Autumn 2026.<\/p>\n

Origin, a joint venture between HBD and Feldberg Capital, was established to develop next-generation, ESG-compliant industrial and logistics assets in the UK mid-box market, with plans to deliver \u00a31bn of high-quality I&L schemes over the next five to seven years.<\/p>\n
