A UK battery recycling specialist has launched a crowdfunding campaign to support further expansion.<\/p>\n
Wolverhampton-based Recyclus Group has opened an investment round on Crowdcube following a year of strong commercial growth and record trading performance.<\/p>\n
The business, which focuses on recycling lithium-ion batteries and recovering critical battery metals, reported a 179% increase in revenue in 2025. The company recorded its first profitable months in July and August, while December delivered its strongest month to date in both revenue and contract wins.<\/p>\n
The crowdfunding raise will be used to expand operational capacity and support the company\u2019s role in developing a domestic supply chain for battery materials in the UK.<\/p>\n
Planned investment includes the purchase of additional processing equipment designed to improve the quality and yield of recovered materials, alongside working capital to support continued growth.<\/p>\n
Recyclus processes end-of-life lithium-ion batteries within the UK, recovering intermediate materials including \u201cblack mass\u201d \u2014 a powder containing valuable metals such as lithium, cobalt, nickel, manganese and graphite.<\/p>\n
These materials can be reused in the manufacture of new batteries, helping to reduce reliance on imported precursor materials.<\/p>\n
The company says the approach supports the development of a circular supply chain for battery components at a time when electrification is accelerating across sectors including transport, energy storage and infrastructure.<\/p>\n
