A Stoke-on-Trent-based bookkeeping business is targeting further growth after securing funding through BCRS Business Loans to expand its workforce and invest in its office.<\/p>\n
Drive Ahead Bookkeeping has used the finance to recruit a senior accounts manager and upgrade office facilities as part of its strategy to increase turnover and profitability.<\/p>\n
Founded in 2020 by director Dave Shannon after a 17-year career as a driving instructor, the firm now employs seven people, including an apprentice, and provides bookkeeping services to sole traders and small businesses across Cheshire and Staffordshire. Services include managing VAT returns, payroll, credit control, and profit management.<\/p>\n
Dave Shannon said: \u201cWe have been on a massive growth journey having started out as a sole trader to now employing seven staff, including an apprentice, so we were looking to consolidate on previous borrowing to recruit a senior accounts manager and invest in the office.<\/p>\n
