Prior to their time in the private sector, Parmar and Nicol first worked together at Broxtowe Borough Council in Nottingham, between 2014 and 2017.<\/p>\n
Rapleys has been growing its Birmingham office over the last two years adding a Land Development Project Management Team and a new Utilities Consulting service alongside other Consultancy offers in the region. The appointment of Sachin and John will cement Rapleys Planning offer in the City and region.<\/p>\n
Robert Clarke, senior partner at Rapleys said: \u201cOur business strategy over the last three years has been focused on, and will continue to foster, expansion, but with the right people and in the right places so that it is sustainable. Planning has been and will continue to be a core area of growth, and we see huge opportunities to build both the national Division but also have locally focused and experienced planners in our regional offices. We have seen huge success with this strategy having welcomed seven Southwest-focused planners to our Bristol office three years ago and adding five more senior planners to Manchester just last year. The addition of Sachin and John to Birmingham adds a new regionally focused Planning discipline that will leverage the platform we have already built in the city and work closely with the existing teams there. We will continue to add great people, teams and services in line with our growth plan both nationally and regionally over the coming months.\u201d<\/p>\n

Networking and industry body Women in Property has appointed Janet Rowley as chair of its Midlands branch for 2026\u201327.<\/p>\n
Rowley, an associate director at Lichfields, took up the role on 1 March and will serve until 28 February 2027. She succeeds the outgoing chair after spending eight years as a member of the Midlands committee.<\/p>\n

Women in Property is a national organisation focused on supporting professional development, networking and improving gender balance across the property sector.<\/p>\n
Rowley said: \u201cI am honoured to be appointed Branch Chair, to help guide our regional team. The organisation\u2019s ethos is all about prioritising and empowering people, as we seek to improve gender parity in the industry, while working towards a more inclusive and understanding society.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur committee here in the Midlands is formed of member volunteers, all industry professionals, who focus their spare time and energy on Women in Property\u2019s core initiatives, including Schools Outreach, Inclusion and our Mentoring programme. We have a fantastic multi-disciplinary network, which is a real USP for Women in Property, and a great opportunity to promote a cross-fertilisation of ideas, through our CPD-accredited events and networking.\u201d<\/p>\n
