Worcestershire-based Speedflex Engineering is pursuing a new phase of growth after securing a \u00a3650,000 funding package designed to address cashflow volatility and support investment.<\/p>\n
The business, which operates as an engineering subcontractor, experienced uneven income streams typical of the sector, prompting it to seek alternative finance to improve working capital and operational stability.<\/p>\n
Provided by Time Finance, the funding comprises a \u00a3250,000 confidential invoice finance facility alongside a \u00a3400,000 asset finance facility.<\/p>\n
The combined asset-based lending (ABL) solution has enabled the company to release cash tied up in invoices while investing in new machinery.<\/p>\n
Since implementing the facility, Speedflex has also expanded its workforce and is targeting new market opportunities, supported by improved visibility over monthly revenues.<\/p>\n
Stephen Dunstall, managing director at Speedflex Engineering said: \u201cWhen we first met with Time Finance, we were struggling with irregular cashflow; one month we could be taking three times our usual income and the next very little. A changing order book is typical of our industry, but it can be unpredictable and difficult to manage. Without the ABL solution from Time Finance, I don’t believe we would still be operating today.<\/p>\n
