{"id":2110486,"date":"2026-04-08T11:32:15","date_gmt":"2026-04-08T10:32:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thebusinessdesk.com\/westmidlands\/?p=2110486"},"modified":"2026-04-08T11:32:15","modified_gmt":"2026-04-08T10:32:15","slug":"vehicle-rental-provider-gets-into-gear-with-new-funding","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thebusinessdesk.com\/westmidlands\/news\/2110486-vehicle-rental-provider-gets-into-gear-with-new-funding","title":{"rendered":"Vehicle rental provider gets into gear with new funding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>GoVantage, a Stoke-on-Trent-based commercial vehicle rental provider, has secured \u00a315,000 in funding through the British Business Bank\u2019s Start Up Loans programme. <\/p>\n<p>The funding will be used to expand the company\u2019s vehicle fleet, enhance its proprietary technology platform and strengthen operational capacity. <\/p>\n<p>GoVantage focuses on supplying vans to service providers working with large organisations, particularly in the courier sector, and offers a digital system for booking, tracking, maintenance and managing compliance records.<\/p>\n<p>Founded by Ionut Balaj, GoVantage was established to address inefficiencies in the van rental market, including challenges around vehicle profitability and fleet performance tracking. <\/p>\n<p>The company has developed an integrated platform designed to improve visibility across bookings, servicing and audit processes.<\/p>\n<p>The loan will support further development of this system, enabling more detailed tracking of fleet activity and expenditure, as well as covering initial office setup and scaling the platform across multiple operational systems.<\/p>\n<p>Ionut Balaj, Founder of GoVantage said: \u201cA key challenge has been sourcing suitable vehicles at competitive prices, which fluctuate significantly throughout the year.
