A 38-bedroom care home for adults with complex needs has been completed in Coventry, following a joint development between Deeley Group and Exemplar Health Care.<\/p>\n
The Birch View facility, located in Radford, has been built on the site of the former St Nicholas Church on Sherwood Jones Close, bringing a previously disused site back into active use.<\/p>\n
The home will provide specialist nursing care for adults living with conditions including brain injuries, dementia, mental health issues, neuro-disabilities and physical disabilities.<\/p>\n
Designed by Watson Batty Architects, the scheme incorporates elements that reflect the character of the former church, with the entrance, canopy and materials referencing the original structure.<\/p>\n
The project marks the fifth collaboration between Deeley Group and Exemplar Health Care. During construction, the contractor reported social value equivalent to 20 per cent of the build cost and achieved a full 45\/45 score under the Considerate Constructors Scheme.<\/p>\n
The development has also been nominated for a national award.<\/p>\n

Following completion, Exemplar Health Care is finalising the internal fit-out ahead of the home opening in the spring. The facility will include dedicated care areas, dining and lounge spaces, quiet rooms, a therapy room and meeting areas for visiting families, alongside a sensory garden.<\/p>\n
