A Birmingham-based restaurant group has expanded into mobile catering, with its food truck operation already fully booked across a 2026 events schedule.

Delivered through an events arm and led by director Nouman Farooqui, the venture features three Airstream food trucks designed to take its Indian street food offering beyond its flagship city centre site and into the UK’s events and festivals market.

It represents a key step in the group’s growth strategy, enabling it to operate across corporate events, festivals, sporting occasions and private functions.

Nouman Farooqui said: “Our Birmingham restaurant is very well known and a favourite of some of the world’s biggest celebrities including Tom Cruise, Ed Sheeran, Pink and The Rolling Stones. But we wanted to take our Indian street food experience out beyond the city and so adapted our food trucks to cater on site wherever we choose to set up.

“Expanding our passion for Indian cuisine, we launched our innovative Indian food trucks, bringing our beloved flavours directly to events, food festivals, and gatherings everywhere. Whether you’re planning a corporate event, wedding, or private celebration, Asha’s Events is committed to providing exceptional food and service that leave a lasting impression through our food trucks.”

The mobile concept has already featured at The Cheltenham Festival and has secured bookings across a wide range of 2026 events, including Ibiza Classics at Ragley Hall, Chatsworth House, Digbeth Dining Club Summer Tour, Herbert’s Yard, Edgbaston Cricket Ground fixtures, the BMW Show at Santa Pod Raceway, the Colmore Food Festival and Solihull Summer Fest.

Alongside the events growth, the business has also opened a new site within Birmingham’s Society Food Hall, which hosts a small number of independent kitchens.

Farooqui said: “We hope that new customers who discover Asha’s through our food trucks and at Society will be encouraged to book into Asha’s in Edmund Street at the heart of the Birmingham business district, where they can enjoy our full a la carte menu and appreciate why our food is such a favourite with locals and celebs alike”.
