The final development plots at the former MG Rover factory site in Longbridge have been sold to Paragon Living in a \u00a34m deal.<\/p>\n
The transaction paves the way for a mixed-use scheme that could deliver up to 360 new homes on the last remaining parcels within the wider redevelopment zone.<\/p>\n
Known as 1 & 2 Park Square, the sites sit close to Longbridge town centre, around eight miles south of Birmingham city centre, and form the final phase of development land within the long-running regeneration of the former manufacturing site.<\/p>\n
Property adviser Savills acted on behalf of the vendor in completing the sale, bringing forward the last two plots from the former MG Rover site, which closed in 2005.<\/p>\n
The land extends to 2.44 acres and 1.73 acres, and both parcels benefit from outline planning consent for residential-led schemes.<\/p>\n
The wider Longbridge regeneration has delivered significant change over the past two decades, including new housing, commercial space, leisure facilities and public realm improvements.<\/p>\n
Existing uses across the area include Longbridge Technology Park, a 260-home retirement village, Austin Park, riverside habitat works and occupiers such as Sainsbury\u2019s, Premier Inn, PureGym, Marks & Spencer and Herbert\u2019s Yard.<\/p>\n
