Crowe\u2019s Midlands and South West corporate finance team has recorded its strongest ever first quarter to start 2026, reflecting a sharp rise in mid-market mergers and acquisitions activity.<\/p>\n
Based in the firm\u2019s Birmingham office, the team advised on eight transactions over the period, spanning sectors including engineering, technology, legal services and financial services.<\/p>\n
Operating from the firm\u2019s Birmingham office, the audit, tax, advisory and consulting business supported eight completed transactions in the first three months of the year, marking a significant uplift in deal flow compared with previous periods.<\/p>\n
The team is led by corporate finance partner Andy Kay and director Phoebe Turner, who have overseen an active pipeline of advisory mandates spanning trade acquisitions, private equity-backed deals and complex due diligence assignments.<\/p>\n

A standout mandate during the period saw the team advise on the acquisition of Nottinghamshire-based Engineering Solutions Group by Leeds-headquartered NG Bailey, one of the UK\u2019s largest independent engineering and services groups.<\/p>\n
The firm also played a key role in cross-border and technology-sector activity, providing financial due diligence and transaction support to Amsterdam-based Your.Cloud on its acquisition of Tamworth-based Pure Cloud Solutions, an IT and telecoms provider.<\/p>\n
Crowe subsequently supported the group\u2019s further expansion with its acquisition of Lancashire-based managed service provider Cloud Geeni.<\/p>\n
In the legal sector, the team advised Black Country law firm FBC Manby Bowdler, part of the Adeptio Law network, on its acquisition of Jordans Solicitors in Blackheath and Halesowen, supporting consolidation activity within regional legal services.<\/p>\n
Further advisory work included buy-side support for New Homes Mortgage Services LLP in Cannock, Staffordshire, on its acquisition of Clark Marshall Associates in Dartford, Kent, reflecting continued consolidation across financial services advisory markets.<\/p>\n
Alongside trade and corporate transactions, Crowe also provided financial due diligence support for the merger between children\u2019s hospice charities Jessie May, based in Bristol, and Children\u2019s Hospice South West. The firm additionally advised on a number of leveraged management buy-out transactions for regional finance providers.<\/p>\n
With regional offices in Birmingham, Oldbury and Cheltenham, the firm continues to position itself as a key advisory partner in the Midlands and South West dealmaking ecosystem.<\/p>\n
