{"id":2111639,"date":"2026-05-11T12:03:16","date_gmt":"2026-05-11T11:03:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thebusinessdesk.com\/westmidlands\/?p=2111639"},"modified":"2026-05-11T12:03:16","modified_gmt":"2026-05-11T11:03:16","slug":"fletchers-solicitors-expands-dental-negligence-practice-into-birmingham","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thebusinessdesk.com\/westmidlands\/news\/2111639-fletchers-solicitors-expands-dental-negligence-practice-into-birmingham","title":{"rendered":"Fletchers Solicitors expands dental negligence practice into Birmingham"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"201\">Clinical negligence and personal injury law firm <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Fletchers Solicitors<\/span><\/span> has expanded its dental negligence practice into Birmingham as part of its wider national growth strategy.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"203\" data-end=\"536\">It follows last year\u2019s acquisition of Shoosmiths\u2019 personal injury and clinical negligence practices, after which Fletchers established itself as the UK\u2019s largest clinical negligence specialist.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"203\" data-end=\"536\">The latest expansion will see dedicated dental negligence teams established in Birmingham alongside its existing regional operations.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"538\" data-end=\"665\">The new Birmingham team will be led by Associate Katie Parr, who will oversee dental negligence work across multiple locations.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"667\" data-end=\"906\">Katie Parr, associate and team leader within Fletchers\u2019 Dental Negligence practice said: \u201cWe are seeing a clear and sustained rise in dental negligence enquiries, highlighting the growing need for specialist legal expertise in this field.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"908\" data-end=\"1069\">\u201cExpanding into Birmingham allows us to better support clients locally, while continuing to deliver the high standard of representation our teams are known for.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1071\" data-end=\"1408\">Parr brings more than 16 years of experience in dental negligence law and has developed a strong track record in complex claimant cases.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1071\" data-end=\"1408\">She previously led a landmark case at the Royal Courts of Justice that secured the highest-ever general damages award for a dental negligence claim, a record that remains unbroken over a decade later.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1410\" data-end=\"1618\">The firm\u2019s dental negligence division has experienced significant growth over the past year, reporting a 135% increase in signed cases and expanding its Liverpool-based team with eight additional fee earners.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1620\" data-end=\"1801\">In Birmingham, the initial build-out will focus on establishing a full-service team, with plans to scale to around seven fee earners across seniority levels from Grade A to Grade D.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1803\" data-end=\"2005\">Peter Rigby, managing director of Fletchers\u2019 Clinical Negligence practice said: \u201cThis expansion reflects our long-term investment in growing a dedicated dental negligence capability across the country. By establishing stronger regional teams, we\u2019re building the infrastructure needed to support continued national growth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2130\" data-end=\"2289\">\u201cExpanding into Birmingham is the next step in our growth strategy, as we continue to build a truly national practice with strength in major regional centres.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2291\" data-end=\"2545\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">The firm has set out ambitions to operate five dedicated dental negligence teams nationally, including three in Liverpool and additional teams in Reading
