Groundworks and civil engineering specialist M&J Evans is relocating from its Walsall base to two new premises in Tamworth.

The company’s new headquarters will be based at Centurion Court, while its West Midlands regional team will move into Ventura House. Both deals were secured by commercial property consultancy KWB Commercial Property Agents.

Malcolm Jones, director at KWB said: “Location is of prime importance to M&J, with the team needing easy access to many live construction sites across the UK. Located along the M42 corridor, Tamworth is something of a network hub and so, along with the high quality office space available, this new space will work perfectly for the team’s needs.

“According to our latest office market review, office takeup along the M42 corridor in 2025 was 21% above the post-pandemic average, and, thanks to deals like these in Tamworth, it continues to be a popular business location.”

The regional office at Ventura House comprises 4,300 sq ft and benefits from strong transport links, including close proximity to Junction 10 of the M42 and Junction 4 of the M6 Toll, as well as direct access to the A5 and A38.

It also offers connectivity to Birmingham city centre, Birmingham Airport and the NEC, alongside nearby retail and leisure amenities at Ventura Park.

The new headquarters at Centurion Court provides 5,213 sq ft in a strategically positioned office scheme described as a key gateway location into Tamworth, with strong motorway access supporting national operations.

Judith Marriott, group people director at M&J Evans said: “Over the past 20 years, M&J has grown to become the partner of choice for many housebuilders across the country. We now have seven regional offices, plus the new head office, with a total of 280 employees and a site workforce of approximately 1,700. Our ambition is to expand even further over the coming years.

“Tamworth is the ideal location to aid this expansion in the Midlands, and we’re excited to mark this new chapter with the opening of a new regional hub and our new headquarters early June.”
