CTD has opened a new flagship branch in Minworth, Sutton Coldfield, as part of its wider business transformation and investment programme.

The Birmingham site, which opened following a launch event on Thursday 14 May, introduces a revised branch format aimed at trade customers, with a greater focus on tiling tools, materials and day-to-day essentials for installers and contractors.

Located within a major trade area, the branch is intended to serve customers working across Birmingham, Coventry, Warwickshire, Walsall, Dudley and the wider Midlands region.

The store format moves away from a traditional showroom model, with trade products positioned more prominently and a reduced in-branch tile range supported by access to CTD’s wider product portfolio online for delivery or collection.

The opening event brought together local tradespeople, suppliers and industry partners, with visitors given access to the branch, management team and trade promotions.

Sam Bucknall, Director of CTD, said, “Opening our new Birmingham flagship branch is an important moment for CTD and a clear statement about where the business is heading. We wanted to create a store that genuinely works for today’s tradespeople, one that combines product availability, convenience, value and expert support all under one roof.

“This new format reflects the changing needs of the market and gives customers faster access to the products they use every day, while still offering the product choice and service CTD has long been known for. The response from suppliers, customers and the local trade community has been incredibly positive.

“This is about more than just opening a new store; it’s about rebuilding confidence in the brand and showing customers what the new CTD stands for. We’re investing in our stores, our people and our service, and this flagship branch is a strong example of that commitment.”
