Plans have been submitted for a 49-home scheme in Abbots Bromley, East Staffordshire, on an 11.5-acre greenfield site brought forward under a land promotion agreement.<\/p>\n
The proposals have been submitted by The Strategic Land Group (SLG) on behalf of the landowner.<\/p>\n
It has been designed following a detailed analysis of the village\u2019s historic form and growth patterns, informing a landscape-led masterplan that includes a mix of housing types, 40% affordable provision, new public open space, green infrastructure and a dedicated children\u2019s play area.<\/p>\n
The plans also retain existing hedgerows and trees and incorporate wider biodiversity enhancements.<\/p>\n
The site has been identified as a sustainable location for residential development and is intended to support East Staffordshire Borough Council\u2019s housing delivery requirements.<\/p>\n

\u201cEast Staffordshire Borough Council is currently unable to demonstrate a robust five-year housing land supply – our proposed development represents an opportunity to help address the identified gap, supporting the borough in bringing forward a deliverable residential scheme that will contribute to meeting local housing demand.\u201d<\/p>\n
The application has been prepared with support from planning consultancy Emery Planning.<\/p>\n
