A Birmingham-based legal technology business has secured a \u00a33.5m invoice finance facility to support expansion plans, technology investment and recruitment as it scales operations.<\/p>\n
MedBrief Services, which develops systems to help law firms process high volumes of sensitive legal data more efficiently and securely, secured the funding from NatWest after seeking a banking partner able to support the cashflow demands created by longer client payment cycles.<\/p>\n
The facility is intended to provide additional working capital as the business expands its customer base, accelerates development of its proprietary technology and increases hiring.<\/p>\n
Founded by tech entrepreneur Adam Stead, the company has grown rapidly in recent years, increasing headcount from 62 employees in 2024 to more than 100 in 2026 as it expands from its Birmingham headquarters.<\/p>\n
