Indurent has started the final phase of construction at Indurent Park Longbridge, a 340,000 sq ft industrial and logistics scheme on the former MG Rover manufacturing site near Birmingham.<\/p>\n
The development will deliver 13 multi-let industrial and logistics units alongside ancillary office space as part of the continued regeneration of the Longbridge area, which was once home to the production of vehicles including the Mini and Austin 7.<\/p>\n
Planning approval for the scheme was granted in late 2025, with contractors appointed earlier this year.<\/p>\n
Once complete, the development is expected to provide modern industrial accommodation aimed at sectors including advanced manufacturing, logistics and distribution.<\/p>\n
Indurent said the project represents a \u00a330m investment into the area and is expected to support around 590 full-time jobs, alongside approximately 280 construction roles. Training and skills opportunities are also expected to form part of the programme.<\/p>\n
The scheme includes plans to improve links with the River Rea valley walking and cycling network, alongside wider transport connectivity to Birmingham and the surrounding West Midlands. Buildings are being designed to meet BREEAM \u2018Excellent\u2019 and EPC A standards.<\/p>\n
To mark the start of construction, Richard Parker joined Indurent representatives at UKREiiF 2026 to ceremonially sign a steel beam recognising the milestone in the redevelopment of the Longbridge site.<\/p>\n
