Wychavon Council has appointed real estate advisor Savills to support the redevelopment of the Riverside Shopping Centre site in Evesham, as plans for the town centre regeneration move forward.<\/p>\n
Announced at this week\u2019s UKREiiF, the appointment follows a competitive process and will see Savills help bring the mixed-use scheme to market and identify a developer or delivery partner for the site.<\/p>\n
The Riverside project forms part of wider plans to reshape the area beyond a traditional retail destination, with ambitions to increase town centre living, support businesses and better connect Evesham town centre with the river.<\/p>\n
Savills was selected following a bidding and evaluation process, with the council citing its regeneration experience and track record on similar projects.<\/p>\n
Richard Morris, leader of Wychavon Council said: \u201cAppointing a commercial partner of Savills\u2019 calibre is another major step forward for the Riverside regeneration project and underlines the scale of the opportunity in Evesham.<\/p>\n
