An AI recruitment platform is targeting disruption in the global hiring market after launching a new technology designed to automate and personalise the recruitment process for both employers and candidates.<\/p>\n
Buildout AI, founded by James O\u2019Donoghue and Jack Hurdley, is positioning itself as a data-led alternative to traditional job boards, using artificial intelligence to match professionals with roles and support employers through the hiring process.<\/p>\n
The Warwickshire-based business has already piloted its platform in the UK construction sector, where skills shortages remain acute, with industry estimates suggesting a shortfall of around 250,000 workers over the next three years.<\/p>\n
Backed by angel investors from recruitment, software and construction sectors, the company is now seeking \u00a32.8m in its latest funding round as it prepares for wider rollout and international expansion later this year.<\/p>\n
The platform is designed to act as an AI-driven career assistant for candidates, learning preferences, guiding applications and matching users to roles beyond traditional keyword-based searches.<\/p>\n
For employers, it offers automated early-stage screening, improved candidate pre-assessment and integrated hiring tools, including job advertising, interview scheduling and offer management, with the aim of reducing recruitment costs and time-to-hire.<\/p>\n
