A double appointment has further boosted Beswicks Legal\u2019s business law teams in Stoke-on-Trent.<\/p>\n

Corporate Solicitor Arjun Mann has joined the firm\u2019s corporate law department, which is led by Partner Peter Ellis.<\/p>\n

Mann specialises in high-value mergers & acquisitions, and investment transactions, alongside a broad spectrum of commercial contract work, making him the perfect addition to Beswicks\u2019 experienced corporate law team, which is well-known for delivering complex corporate deals for clients.<\/p>\n

Ebony Mason, meanwhile, joins the Commercial Property department as a Paralegal, supporting clients with commercial property acquisitions, sales, property refinancing and auction transactions.
\nEbony will be working alongside highly-regarded Commercial Property Partner Laura Pyatt and Commercial Property Associate Alex Bradbury.<\/p>\n

The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) West Midlands Local Network Board has announced the appointment of Gemma Jones, partner at FRP Advisory, as chair, and Louise Rudd, partner at RSM Birmingham, as deputy chair.<\/p>\n

Jones and Rudd both bring over 15 years of involvement with ICAEW, demonstrating a longstanding commitment to the profession and to supporting members across the region.<\/p>\n

Their combined experience, leadership, and deep understanding of the West Midlands business landscape position them well to lead the Network into its next phase.<\/p>\n

ICAEW is a world-leading professional membership organisation that promotes, develops, and supports over 200,000 chartered accountants and students globally.<\/p>\n

It plays a key role in upholding professional standards, advancing the accountancy profession, and supporting economic growth.<\/p>\n

In their new roles, Jones and Rudd will focus on strengthening the profile of ICAEW across the West Midlands, ensuring that the expertise and insight of its members are widely recognised by local businesses, public sector organisations, and the wider community.<\/p>\n

A central priority will be enhancing engagement with regional stakeholders and positioning ICAEW members as key contributors to the area\u2019s economic and professional landscape.<\/p>\n

They are also keen to ensure that members\u2019 voices are heard more effectively. By leveraging the board\u2019s extensive network, both aim to gather meaningful feedback on both local and national issues, feed this into ICAEW decision-making, and importantly, demonstrate how member insights are influencing outcomes\u2014helping to close the feedback loop and strengthen member engagement.<\/p>\n

Social purpose law firm, Anthony Collins, has promoted Edwina Turner, a highly experienced charity specialist. The firm is also announcing 12 further promotions.<\/p>\n

Supporting both national and international charities, with a particular focus on religious charities, Turner specialises in restructures, mergers and internal governance, and works closely with boards and C-suites to provide expert legal counsel through periods of change as well as acting as an interim manager for the Charity Commission.<\/p>\n

She also plays a leading role in the firm\u2019s trainee solicitor development programme, working to ensure that all participants receive the highest level of training that is both challenging and enjoyable.<\/p>\n

Turner said: \u201cAs someone who is passionate about the charity sector and the clients I support, being promoted to the Anthony Collins partnership is a recognition of our charity work being at the heart of the firm. The firm\u2019s social purpose ethos shines through in the work we deliver for our clients, and I am proud to be part of the high-performing charities sector team.\u201d<\/p>\n

The firm has also made several promotions across both its Birmingham and Manchester offices. In the governance team, Esther Campsall has been promoted to legal director, specialising in education governance and charity law. Laura Mynott joins her as legal director in the property team, supporting social businesses and faith organisations.<\/p>\n

The firm has also promoted five colleagues to senior associate. Catherine Gibbons\u2019 promotion further strengthens the firm\u2019s governance team, and she will continue her work supporting a diverse range of charity clients across the firm\u2019s faith, housing and health and social care sectors, as well as acting as an interim manager of charities where appointed by the Charity Commission.<\/p>\n

In the housing litigation and management team, Penny Bournes\u2019 promotion strengthens the firm\u2019s service to registered providers, due to her expertise in providing non-contentious specialist housing management advice and training.<\/p>\n

In the property team, Amy Barons\u2019 promotion will allow her to provide further support for public bodies, registered providers and charity clients on the acquisition, sale or lease of affordable housing and development land.<\/p>\n

In the personal injury team, Sarah Owen will continue her work representing individuals pursuing compensation claims following medical negligence or an accident.<\/p>\n

The final promotion to senior associate is Hazel Findlay in the employment and pensions team, whose experience sees her support clients across all aspects of business immigration and employment law.<\/p>\n

A further four colleagues have been promoted to associate – Ben Bray in the property team, Ravinderjit Dosanjh in the commercial litigation team, Sike Olawale in the projects team, and Gail Saunders in the private client team.<\/p>\n

Also in the private client team, April Hill has been promoted to executive caseworker. These promotions demonstrate Anthony Collins\u2019 ongoing commitment to investing in its people at all levels.<\/p>\n
