{"id":2113350,"date":"2026-06-25T07:26:24","date_gmt":"2026-06-25T06:26:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thebusinessdesk.com\/westmidlands\/?p=2113350"},"modified":"2026-06-25T07:28:19","modified_gmt":"2026-06-25T06:28:19","slug":"mercia-warwick-acoustics","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thebusinessdesk.com\/westmidlands\/news\/2113350-mercia-warwick-acoustics","title":{"rendered":"Warwick Acoustics secures \u00a37.5m boost backed by Mercia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mercia Asset Management has led a new investment round into its portfolio company Warwick Acoustics, with total funding of up to \u00a37.5m set to support the firm\u2019s next stage of commercial growth.<\/p>\n<p>The Coventry-based audio technology business has raised \u00a36.4m, with a further \u00a31.1m expected, to scale production and accelerate its partnership with Jaguar Land Rover.<\/p>\n<p>Mercia invested \u00a30.7m from its own balance sheet, with the remainder coming from its managed funds, including the Northern VCTs and other co-investors.<\/p>\n<p>Warwick Acoustics develops next-generation electrostatic audio systems for automotive and personal audio markets. Its technology has recently been deployed in the Range Rover SV Ultra, marking a key milestone for the business as it moves into production at scale.<\/p>\n<p>The funding will support the company\u2019s transition to new production facilities, separating manufacturing from R&amp;D operations, and enable further recruitment as it expands its commercial footprint.<\/p>\n<p>Following the latest round, Mercia will hold a 26.2% stake in the business.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Mark Payton, chief executive of Mercia Asset Management, said the investment marks a \u201csignificant commercial and investment inflection point\u201d for Warwick Acoustics, highlighting the strength of its technology and its ability to meet automotive OEM
