{"id":2118892,"date":"2026-11-02T07:41:14","date_gmt":"2026-11-02T07:41:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thebusinessdesk.com\/westmidlands\/?p=2118892"},"modified":"2026-11-02T07:41:35","modified_gmt":"2026-11-02T07:41:35","slug":"bromsgrove-sporting-fc-owners-snap-up-burger-brand-hangry-moose-with-eyes-on-growth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thebusinessdesk.com\/westmidlands\/news\/2118892-bromsgrove-sporting-fc-owners-snap-up-burger-brand-hangry-moose-with-eyes-on-growth","title":{"rendered":"Bromsgrove Sporting FC owners snap up burger brand Hangry Moose with eyes on growth"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\">Burger and street food business Hangry Moose is under new ownership, with plans to expand into more locations across the Midlands.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/hangrymoose.co.uk\/\">The business<\/a>, which has restaurants in Bromsgrove and Worcester, will now be run by Bromsgrove-based entrepreneurs Darren Smith and Alex Moran, following the departure of fellow partner Dave Barnicoat.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Smith is chief executive of Bromsgrove-based Elonex Outdoor Media, while Moran is founder and chief executive of Roost, a US-headquartered home healthcare business with a UK presence.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Both are members of the five-person consortium that acquired a controlling stake in Bromsgrove Sporting FC in April.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The new owners plan to take the brand into more locations and reach new customers through partnerships with pubs and retail outlets. They also plan to widen the menu, invest in product development and change how the business operates.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Smith said: \u201cHangry Moose has a great brand, strong product and a loyal following in the region and David and the team have worked incredibly hard to develop the business to where it is today.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cOur priority now is building on those foundations by investing in innovation and product development, implementing key processes to create more efficiency.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Moran added: \u201cBoth Darren and I are based in Bromsgrove and passionate about seeing local businesses thrive in the area.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cWe\u2019re already in discussions with a range of pubs and other retail outlets about partnering with us to
