Independent restaurant business Indian Caf\u00e9 Racer is adding a third Birmingham location to its portfolio, opening a new kitchen at St Paul\u2019s Market in the Jewellery Quarter this week.<\/p>\n
The new venue will occupy space in St Paul\u2019s Market, an independent food hall at 4 Mary Ann Street that brings together a collection of food and drink operators. The team has recruited four additional employees\u00a0to support the launch.<\/p>\n
Founded in 2022 by entrepreneur Azad Kayes, Indian Caf\u00e9 Racer initially launched from a room at The Wellington Hotel & Pub, near Bromsgrove Street and Bristol Street. The business subsequently opened its second site at 88-90 Bristol Street last year.<\/p>\n
The Bristol Street restaurant has since attracted increased attention, including positive coverage in the national press, helping to build its profile among Birmingham diners and corporate customers.<\/p>\n
Kayes, whose hospitality experience includes working front of house at Pushkar on Broad Street, said: \u201cWe\u2019re really excited to be opening a new kitchen venue at the vibrant St Paul\u2019s Market. Our main restaurant on Bristol Street has become a real a target for corporate diners in the city thanks to popular reviews in the national press.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re keen to spread the word even further and believe that taking space at St Paul\u2019s Market will bring our brand to the attention of more young people and professionals who live in and visit that part of the city. The St Paul\u2019s Market venue will hopefully not only be successful in its own right but will also help us to draw even more diners to enjoy our main restaurants on Bristol Street.\u201d<\/p>\n
The two existing Bristol Street locations employ 25 people across kitchen and front-of-house roles. The latest opening will take the business’s workforce higher, with four new recruits appointed to operate the St Paul\u2019s Market kitchen.<\/p>\n
