Law firm Mills & Reeve has been named among nine founding partners of a new accreditation scheme designed to strengthen the financial and commercial support available to businesses operating in the women\u2019s health sector.<\/p>\n
The initiative, known as FemTick, brings together professional services and financial organisations committed to improving the infrastructure available to women\u2019s health innovators, helping businesses overcome barriers to growth and commercialisation.<\/p>\n
Mills & Reeve, which operates across seven UK locations including Birmingham, is joined by HSBC Innovation Banking, Tokio Marine Kiln, Commerce, Withum, Practicus, Novabook, LT PR and Communia as an initial group of accredited partners.<\/p>\n
Established by global initiative CensHERship, FemTick aims to recognise organisations providing specialist services to women\u2019s health businesses, spanning legal advice, banking, payments, insurance, underwriting, ecommerce and risk management.<\/p>\n
The founding organisations will contribute to the development of the accreditation framework, which is intended to expand as further service providers join the initiative. It will also provide greater visibility for founders, investors and commercial partners looking for advisers with an understanding of the sector\u2019s specific regulatory and operational requirements.<\/p>\n

The launch comes following the publication of CensHERship\u2019s 2026 Bias Burden Report, which examined the commercial and infrastructure challenges affecting companies in the women\u2019s health market.<\/p>\n
Its findings revealed that every respondent had experienced difficulties accessing financial or commercial services, while more than 60% said these obstacles had resulted in lost revenue.<\/p>\n
FemTick has been established in response to these findings, with a focus on identifying and promoting service providers actively working to create a more accessible commercial environment for businesses developing women\u2019s health products and services.<\/p>\n
