{"id":2118995,"date":"2026-11-03T16:15:49","date_gmt":"2026-11-03T16:15:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thebusinessdesk.com\/westmidlands\/?p=2118995"},"modified":"2026-11-03T16:15:49","modified_gmt":"2026-11-03T16:15:49","slug":"coventry%e2%80%99s-deeley-group-heads-for-100m-turnover-in-its-90th-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thebusinessdesk.com\/westmidlands\/news\/2118995-coventry%e2%80%99s-deeley-group-heads-for-100m-turnover-in-its-90th-year","title":{"rendered":"Coventry\u2019s Deeley Group heads for \u00a3100m turnover in its 90th year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\">Coventry-based Deeley Group expects turnover to near \u00a3100m this year, as the family-run property and development firm marks its 90th anniversary.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/deeley.co.uk\/\">The business<\/a> grew turnover to \u00a367m last year and expects to reach nearly \u00a3100m for 2025\/26.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Over the past 10 years, it has delivered 591 homes, 478 care beds, 762 retirement living beds and 106 completed projects across the Midlands and beyond.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">In the last year, it completed its largest scheme to date, a \u00a335.9m, 137-apartment retirement community in Sutton Coldfield for Anchor.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Deeley Group was founded in 1936 by George W Deeley, a bricklayer who won his first contract to build houses in Bedworth from a yard on Avon Street in Coventry. During the Second World War, the business built air raid shelters, before rebuilding homes and schools across the city after the war.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">It has since worked on schemes including the \u00a3150m regeneration of Belgrade Plaza in Coventry city centre and the transformation of Bermuda Park in Nuneaton. It now works across homes, commercial, education and retail development, alongside a fast-growing later living division.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The business is now led by joint managing directors Peter Deeley and his daughter Eleanor Deeley, the second and third generations of the family.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Eleanor Deeley said: \u201cIt is fitting that our 90th year is also one of our strongest and it gives us real confidence as we look ahead.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cWe have transformed the business in recent years with new processes, technology and investment in training, which gives us strong foundations as we continue to grow.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Last month, its construction arm Deeley Construction <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thebusinessdesk.com\/westmidlands\/news\/2117820-deeley-construction-secures-place-on-1bn-west-midlands-public-sector-framework\">secured a place on the \u00a31bn medium works lot of the Constructing West Midlands framework<\/a>, giving councils, schools and housing providers across the region a direct route to work with the
