Motorsport safety equipment manufacturer Lifeline Fire & Safety Systems has expanded its product portfolio through the acquisition of fellow Coventry-based business Willans Safety Harnesses.<\/p>\n
The deal brings together two established names in motorsport safety, combining specialist expertise in fire suppression systems and FIA-approved safety harnesses under a single ownership structure.<\/p>\n
Founded in 1967, Willans has built an international reputation for manufacturing and supplying safety harnesses to the motorsport industry. Its products have been used by leading competitors across Formula One, NASCAR, IndyCar and rallying, supporting numerous world championship-winning drivers and teams over almost six decades.<\/p>\n
The acquisition marks a new chapter for the business, with a key priority being the preservation of the Willans name and its established customer relationships.<\/p>\n
Lifeline, which has spent more than 30 years developing its position as a global manufacturer of motorsport fire suppression and safety systems, plans to continue investing in the brand and its product offering.<\/p>\n

The transaction was supported by corporate legal specialists at mfg Solicitors, who advised Lifeline throughout the acquisition, including negotiations and the structuring of the deal.<\/p>\n
