{"id":2119066,"date":"2026-11-05T09:00:30","date_gmt":"2026-11-05T09:00:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thebusinessdesk.com\/westmidlands\/?p=2119066"},"modified":"2026-11-05T12:41:26","modified_gmt":"2026-11-05T12:41:26","slug":"north-warwickshire-gets-4.4m-ultrafast-fibre-boost-for-12000-homes-and-businesses","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thebusinessdesk.com\/westmidlands\/news\/2119066-north-warwickshire-gets-4.4m-ultrafast-fibre-boost-for-12000-homes-and-businesses","title":{"rendered":"North Warwickshire gets \u00a34.4m ultrafast fibre boost for 12,000 homes and businesses"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\">Fibre broadband provider LightSpeed Networks is investing \u00a3685,000 in a new 25km fibre link between Tamworth and Nuneaton, bringing speeds of up to 10Gbps to five industrial estates and business parks.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The link will serve Carlyon and Netherwood industrial estates and Abeles Way Business Park in Atherstone, and Centurion Park and Relay Park in Wilnecote.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Businesses on the sites will be able to access full-fibre business broadband, dedicated internet and private ethernet connections, depending on availability.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The business link forms part of a wider programme of around \u00a34.4m, which also includes investment in Atherstone, Polesworth and Grendon, bringing full-fibre connectivity to around 12,000 homes. The network will also be open to other internet providers on a wholesale basis.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Liam Hickey, group chief executive of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lsnetworks.net\/\">LightSpeed Networks<\/a>, said: \u201cBusinesses increasingly depend on reliable connectivity to support their operations, applications and communications. This investment strengthens our regional infrastructure and creates further opportunities for organisations to access the connectivity and network services they need.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cOur strategy is to make productive use of the network we\u2019ve built, extending its reach into relevant business locations and supporting growth through both direct customer relationships and specialist partners.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">LightSpeed\u2019s network spans the East of England and the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thebusinessdesk.com\/eastmidlands\/\"> East<\/a> and West Midlands, backed by around \u00a3265m of investment across the group to date. Its core network serves 46 towns and communities, and its residential network is expected to reach around 340,000 premises by the end of this
