Expanding OTD hire magnificent seven

A Birmingham-based international training business has expanded with the appointment of seven new employees.

OTD has recruited the new business coaches to work on a string of international training assignments with blue chip brands in pharmaceuticals, electronics and sports retail.

The new recruits jetted into Birmingham this month – from locations including Brazil, Italy, Sweden and Turkey – for an intensive training and induction process.

Based in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter, OTD was established a decade ago by business partners Andy Crotty and Chris Cummins, who left behind established careers in the pharmaceutical industryto found a firm with a passion for inspiring people.

OTD has since rapidly expanded to become one of the biggest training exports in the Midlands, employing 12 full-time staff at its Jewellery Quarter head office, with an additional 50 coaches delivering in more than 60 countries worldwide.

Director of coaching, Chris Cummins, said: “We believe that preparing people properly is a key part of our story. Our first focus has and always will be on our customer, so it’s imperative that all of our business coaches are steeped in the ‘OTD way’.

“We pride ourselves on delivering quality leadership and development coaching that inspires and so we demand the very best from our people. I’m proud to say that this dynamic new team is not only a celebration of talent and diversity, they also firmly reflect our values in creating lasting change.”

OTD’s international team of business coaches delivers a suite of its own innovative training products – including Power Presenter, Carpe Diem Coaching and Eight-Skill Coaching – in five continents.

The company has supported over 12,500 delegates through more than 1,000 international coaching courses in countries such as Australia, Brazil, Russia, Germany, China, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Canada, the USA and many others. Whilst more than 50% of OTD’s work is within the pharmaceutical industry, the company has recently diversified into new markets including electronics and sports retail.
