Growth Hub celebration event helps Staffordshire businesses chart growth curve

Enterprising business leaders across Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire can tap into the wide array of support and opportunities for their organisations to thrive at an industry event later this month.
To conclude its #GearingForGrowth2022 campaign, Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Growth Hub is holding a celebration event, providing a unique opportunity for SMEs in the region to discover the latest business support opportunities under one roof.
Taking place in Stone, at The Boat House, Aston Marina, on Monday, March 28 between 9am and 12.30pm, the event, which includes breakfast and refreshments, offers the chance to gain access to a wealth of knowledge, experience and information to assist business growth.
Nicola Kent, Business and Enterprise Support Manager at Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Growth Hub, said: “#GearingForGrowth2022 has been celebrating the resilience of Staffordshire businesses throughout the pandemic and promoting business growth moving forwards.
“The celebration event will provide a great opportunity for business leaders across the region to get the latest information and support to target growth.
“Visitors to the event will be able to find out more about opportunities including exporting, high growth and scale up strategy, and the latest on loans and grant funding currently available.
“It’s an environment for SMEs across Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire to be inspired and informed and plot their growth curve for the months and years ahead.”
As well as guest speakers, there will be almost 20 exhibitors, including both Staffordshire University and Keele University, Midven, Michelin Development and the Department for International Trade.
Established by the Stoke-on-Trent & Staffordshire Local Enterprise Partnership to play a major role in the drive for strong, sustainable business growth across the LEP area, the Growth Hub acts as the focal point for businesses that wish to grow, by referring them to co-ordinated and cohesive growth programmes, business networks, growth groups and links to specialist information, advice and services.
Nicola Kent added: “As the economy moves forwards, we are here to help local SMEs to get the extra vision, insight and even emotional support to prepare for the opportunities ahead.
“The celebration event is key to that and it will be the first time we’ve been able to bring together our referral partners, organisations and programmes to showcase the support they can offer, and give SMEs the opportunity to learn more about all the opportunities available face-to-face.
“We look forward to welcoming enterprising business leaders from across Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire to Aston Marina, where they can find out more.”
