Recruitment open day for brand-new Leamington Spa care home being held this month

A recruitment open day for Jubilee House, a brand-new luxury care home due to open in Leamington Spa early next year, is being held at the town’s Holiday Inn on Thursday, 24 November.

During the event, running between 10.30am and 6.30pm, people will be able to find out more about the roles on offer at the home, which range from nurses, carers, therapists, receptionists to chefs, kitchen assistants, hospitality staff, and housekeepers.

The home’s owners, Berkley Care Group, are looking to fill an initial 40 roles at Jubilee House. At full capacity, the home will employ 150 people.

Anyone who cannot make it on the day need not worry, however, as they can email their details to joinus_jubilee@berkleycaregroup.co.uk. More information on the home is available from its website: https://www.jubileehousecare.co.uk/

New team will bring ‘joy to the hearts of residents’

Phillippa Cook, the home’s incoming general manager, said she is “really excited to build the team who will be taking Jubilee House forward when it opens next year”.

“Having the right building and modern facilities is very important, but ultimately it is the people working in the home that makes it what it is.

“It’s the team of staff that bring the joy to the hearts of our residents.

“There are a wide range of jobs on offer to suit different skill types. We’d encourage anyone to apply if they are passionate about caring for others and want a rewarding career with plenty of scope for training and development.”

The all-inclusive home will have 78 beds and offer its residents state-of-the-art facilities, including a cinema, spa, gym, dining room, and a bar and bistro.

The Queensway home’s range of services will include residential, dementia, and nursing care.

Nurse training programme opens route into management

There will be a competitive offering for staff too, including free meals, annual pay reviews, a 24/7 digital GP service and health cash plan, as well as a bonus scheme for referring friends.

Berkley has also developed the new Berkley Nurse Programme – a 12-month mandatory training plan for the group’s nurses.

The programme, which is aligned with the Queen’s Nursing Institute, gives nurses the chance to earn while they learn and the opportunity to explore further careers in the group once they complete the training.

They could be supported to manage their own care home in the future, or to join Berkley’s quality auditing team.
