Ultimate Fitness Birmingham crowned Best Independent Gym in the Midlands at UK Fitness Awards

Ultimate Fitness Birmingham has won the Best Independent Gym in the Midlands category at the UK Fitness Awards which were recently held at Birmingham’s Park Regis Hotel.

The black tie awards evening is the flagship event in the UK Fitness calendar. The awards were hosted by Stephen Doran and Adam Kiani plus special guests Golden Gloves Champion Joe Egan, comedian Kane Brown and Andy Street Mayor of the West Midlands.

Ultimate Fitness Birmingham were surprised to hear they had been secretly nominated and thrilled to win the Best Independent Gym accolade. The gym has an enviable City Centre roof top location where members can work out, perform yoga or simply relax with stunning city views. Ultimate Fitness is the best equipped gym in the City Centre and offers in-demand sell out body transformation courses and has an exclusive in-club boutique.

Based at 100 Holloway Head, the gym first opened its doors in 2013 by owner and Managing Director Simon Fan. Simon runs the gym with his wife Kirsty and is a former British Bodybuilding Champion with over 30 years’ experience in the Bodybuilding and Fitness industry. His team at Ultimate Fitness include 12 instructors, aiming to inspire and help clients at varied fitness levels achieve their fitness goals in a friendly, supportive environment.

The UK Fitness Awards was established to acknowledge the contributions and achievements of those within the leisure and fitness industry. Each of the categories is designed to celebrate best practice, from quality of work to motivational and inspirational achievements.

Ant Middleton, former soldier, adventurer and TV presenter appearing on Channel 4’s SAS: Who dares wins and survival show – Escape, received a platinum award which he collected at the event. These awards go to individuals who demonstrate sacrifice, which the judges believe is fundamental to success.
