Communisis in Government contract win

PRINTING group Communisis has won a new contract to provide publications for the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF).
The six-year deal, which starts next month, will see Leeds-based Communisis working with outsourcing business Prolog to supply a new integrated service for all DCSF
publication production, management and delivery which it says will cut up to 20% a year from the Government department’s production costs.
Communisis has also won the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs’ (DEFRA) Sustainability Award at its annual Procurement Awards.
It was selected from DEFRA’s suppliers for helping to achieve its Government sustainability targets and for “positively impacting” Communisis’ own supply chain and environmental performance.
Steve Vaughan, Communisis chief executive, commented: “Our ability to deliver communication solutions beyond print was recognised as a key differentiator in winning the DCSF contract. We hope that this will be the start of a mutually fruitful partnership with Prolog as we work to win further contracts in the public sector.”
