Construction firm in vans deal

CONSTRUCTION company Esh Group has acquired 84 vehicles for more than £1.4m as it revamps its van fleet.
The vans will be used across its four operations: Lumsden & Carroll Construction, Dunelm Property Services, Stephen Easten Building and Wilkinson Facilities Services.
Through its construction and civil engineering business, Lumsden & Carroll Construction, Esh Group has offices in Thorpe Park, Leeds.
The vehicles have been bought from Arnold Clark, Benfield Motors and North East Truck & Bus.
The vehicles purchased represent around 45% of Esh Group’s total van fleet.
John Davies, group operations director at Esh Group, said: “These deals clearly represent significant expenditure for Esh Group. We’ve researched this thoroughly and we are projecting savings of up to £150,000 annually in reduced running costs and fuel savings alone.
“All of the suppliers we’ve chosen are worthy winners of the business; they’ve provided us with excellent support so far and we’re looking forward to working with them going forward.”
Eddie Hawthorne, managing director of Arnold Clark, added: “We’re obviously delighted with this deal, the team at Esh Group is true to its word; they work hard to spend within the region and support business ‘close to home’.”
