Yorkshire corporate lawyer advises on major deal

A YORKSHIRE corporate lawyer has provided key advice on a major deal which completed this week.

Keith Froud of Eversheds in Leeds advised North West telecoms group Daisy Communications on its £200m reverse takeover of Freedom4 Group.

Daisy Communications, the SME  telecommunications reseller, is to become an AIM listed business led by chief executive Matthew Riley following the £81m reverse takeover of Freedom4 Group which coincided with the £42m acquisition of Vialtus and an £83m share placing.

Mr Froud, who is the senior partner in the Eversheds Leeds office, said: “Having worked closely with Matt Riley and Daisy for five years, it is fantastic to have helped him with this highly strategic reverse takeover. The merged business will provide an excellent platform for further expansion in the telecommunications marketplace where consolidation opportunities are ripe.”
