Appointments: Partner hire at LCF; Blakey moves to DWF; and more

YORKSHIRE law firm Last Cawthra Feather (LCF) has welcomed commercial and IP partner James Sarjantson to its Leeds team.

He joins the LCF commercial team after setting up a commercial department at Levi Solicitors, prior to which he spent eight years at Hammonds.

Specialising in commercial contracts and intellectual property law, Mr Sarjantson will enhance the services the firm provides its existing clients. He will also develop the corporate and commercial department further by using his experience working with large multinationals and regional operations.

DWF Jason BlakeyLITIGATION lawyer Jason Blakey has been hired by business law firm DWF as a director in its commercial litigation team in Leeds.

Mr Blakey has worked in commercial disputes resolution for over ten years and specialises in commercial litigation dealing with a range of disputes for corporates and high net worth individuals.

As a leading commercial disputes specialist, he has dealt with a number of claims including telecommunications disputes, shareholder disputes, breaches of restrictive covenants and fiduciary duties.

EXCHANGE Chambers has continued its expansion in Leeds with the arrival of criminal barrister Andrew Petterson as its latest member.

Mr Petterson joins Exchange Chambers from 37 Park Square Chambers in Leeds. His practice covers the full spectrum of crime and he is regularly instructed throughout the North Eastern circuit.

He said: “I am delighted to be joining such a forward thinking set which is renowned for the strength of its criminal department.”
