Networking group set to shine

A BUSINESS growth club is gearing up to launch at Shine Business Centre in Leeds after a successful first year in South Yorkshire.

The Fruit Tree Business Growth Club, which offers a networking and training programme, will be based at the centre on Harehills Road from September 6.

Founder Brian Butcher has seen the Doncaster group go from strength to strength and decided to extend the club’s reach.

He said: “I think the reason for our success is the culture that we generate within the group. The Fruit Tree is not a ‘go and sell’ networking meeting, it is a ‘go and give’ business club.

“We want businesses in Leeds to come along and find out what we are about. There is no commitment required, just come to the launch, meet our team of coaches who will provide inspiring sessions at each meeting and see if The Fruit Tree is for you.”

Mr Butcher said the group’s structure provides real benefits to members.

“The benefit of our structure is that, not only are leads and referrals passed within the group, but many joint ventures are also being created,” he said.

“We also have a range of members whose target market is business start ups. These people are now getting together to create a ‘complete start up package’ so a new business owner can get off the ground and have their website, stationary, design, accountancy, legal structure etc all created in a coherent, cost efficient and speedy way.

“This can only happen when people know and trust each other sufficiently to work together – and you don’t get that in a one-off networking event.”
