Latest appointments: Senior appointments at Business Link; Promotions at DLA and more

LAW firm DLA Piper has announced its latest round of promotions.

China expert and litigation lawyer Josh Wong and projects specialist Natasha Luther-Jones have both been made partners at the Leeds office.

Construction lawyer Ian Doig has been promoted to legal director at the firm’s Sheffield office.
 
Natasha Luther-Jones joined DLA Piper in Leeds as a trainee solicitor and since qualifying in 2001 has grown a successful practice specialising in highways maintenance and waste management projects.

Josh Wong, part of the Yorkshire litigation team and winner of the Yorkshire Lawyer Rising Star award, has a growing reputation as a China disputes lawyer in the UK.

Since joining DLA Piper in 2007, he has developed a practice advising UK businesses on trade and investments in China as well as acting for major Chinese corporations with presence in the UK.

The Leeds and Sheffield offices have also promoted four lawyers to legal director and 16 new associates across the core areas of the legal practice including corporate, employment, real estate, intellectual property, litigation and regulatory.

WinstonTWO new solicitors at Winston Solicitors in Roundhay have been welcomed on board.

Robert Stewart was previously senior partner with Ralph C Yablon Solicitors. He will take on conveyance work and has prior experience in probate, wills and powers of attorney.

Jane Ingleby joins the family law team and will help run Winston’s online divorce service divorcerights.co.uk.

B-LinkBUSINESS Link Yorkshire has appointed Kate McIntyre as operations director and Paul Stevenson as director of partnerships and marketing.

Ms McIntyre is a chartered accountant and started her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers before working for organisations including Skipton Building Society, First Direct, AXA PPP healthcare and HBOS.

B-LinkPaul Stevenson is an experienced marketing and business development specialist with a track record of delivery across media, telecommunications and
e-commerce. He has led a number of customer-led transformation projects across brand, marketing communications and customer service.

Whole CaboodleALAN Jones has joined Harrogate-based advertising and marketing agency The Whole Caboodle as account director.

Mr Jones graduated from the University of Hawaii before gaining experience with top marketing agencies both internationally and in the UK.  After starting his career in a Hong Kong agency, Alan has also worked in-house and with agencies for blue chip brands including Vodafone, Diageo and Unilever. 

Prior to joining The Whole Caboodle Alan was senior client director at London-based Fitch Design Consultants where he headed up the multinational Vodafone account and retail and branding projects across the Europe, Middle East and Asia.
