Sponsors announced for inaugural Ilkley Half Marathon

The inaugural Ilkley Half Marathon has announced two sponsors ahead of the 14 July 2019 road race.
Law firm Ison Harrison and online training provider High Speed Training have been named as sponsors of the event, which has also seen TheBusinessDesk.com come on board as the media partner.
With 13 branches throughout Yorkshire, Ison Harrison provides legal services including conveyancing, family law, wills and probate, personal injury and employment law.
The firm’s Ilkley branch, which opened in 2010, is part of a local network of Wharfedale offices including Guiseley and Otley.
The firm said its Elite sponsorship of the Ilkley Half Marathon is an opportunity to support the Ilkley and Leeds community.
Jonathan Wearing, managing partner at Ison Harrison, said: “Continuing our charitable initiatives from last year, we are really pleased to be sponsoring a prominent local event with the Ilkley Half Marathon this year.
“We are proud of our Ilkley roots and look forward to seeing the local community come together for the event in July. There will be members of Ison Harrison volunteering at the event and we may also have some energetic runners taking part too! We can’t wait to be involved and cheer on our team.”
High Speed Training, also based in Ilkley, provides compliance and personal development courses. Last year, the e-learning company celebrated certifying over one million learners.
Jenny Wells, HR Manager, said: “High Speed Training is very happy to contribute towards the Ilkley Half Marathon and the good causes the marathon supports.
“We’re so lucky to have such a fantastic event taking place on our doorstep. Some of our team have already registered to run and we’ll certainly be cheering on all the runners on the 14th July.”
Established in 2008 by two friends working from home, High Speed Training now has over 40 staff working at its head office at Riverside Business Park, just off Leeds Road. The firm supports learners from all over the world, offering over 150 accredited online courses ranging from food hygiene to safeguarding.
With the event proceeds going to charity, organisers Ilkley and District Round Table are aiming to raise over £30,000 for local good causes.
Ilkley Round Table have raised in excess of £500,000 in the last ten years through a variety of events most notably with the now Internationally renowned Ilkley Beer Festival, now in its 12th Year.
